MangaBall operates as an online service provider facilitating community translation and indexing. Content is uploaded directly by registered users and scanlation groups.

Required Elements for a DMCA Notice

Mandatory information required for a legally compliant takedown request.

2.1 Identification of Copyrighted Work

Clear description or list of the copyrighted work(s) claimed to have been infringed (e.g. Manga Title, Volume, Chapter).
Proof of official copyright ownership or authorization to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

2.2 Specific URL Location on MangaBall

Exact URLs on MangaBall where the allegedly infringing material is hosted (e.g. https://mangaball.com/article/..., https://mangaball.com/title/...).
Generic home page links or non-specific domain links are insufficient for processing.

2.3 Contact Information

Your full legal name, company or organization (if applicable), mailing address, phone number, and official corporate email address.

2.4 Good Faith & Accuracy Statements

A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative.

Legal Warning:Filing a fraudulent or misrepresenting DMCA notice may subject the submitter to legal damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

Counter-Notification Procedure

Process for uploaders or scanlation groups if content was mistakenly removed.

If material you uploaded was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe this was due to mistake or misidentification, you may submit a formal Counter-Notification.
Required Details: Your name, contact details, identification of the material removed, exact URL before removal, and a statement consenting to jurisdiction.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we forward it to the original claimant. If no legal action is filed within 10-14 business days, the material may be restored.

Repeat Infringer Policy

Enforcement measures for accounts or groups with multiple copyright violations.

In accordance with DMCA requirements, MangaBall maintains a strict repeat infringer policy.
Registered user accounts or scanlation groups that repeatedly receive valid copyright infringement notices will have their upload permissions suspended or accounts permanently terminated.
